MSP4.1.0
All documentation / MSP / 4.1.0
This reference is bundled with the 4.1.0 engine and may retain earlier UI terminology. Use the current 4.1.0 installation/security guides for the new wizard and activation steps. Its procedures apply to MSP; use the separate Free or Professional guide for those editions.

Use the approved 4.1.0 installer for your edition and confirm the version shown in the installed application. Published package availability is shown in Downloads & beta access.

ITAuditFactory ISO 27001 Audit Toolkit 4.1.0

Threads

Threads accepts whole numbers from 1 through 64. A value of 20 is supported. Thread count controls parallel collector work; it does not control Cancel, status rendering, or the worker process lifecycle.

Windows Server scope

Enter canonical /24 IPv4 subnet prefixes/addresses and optional explicit Windows server targets. Discovery happens before authentication. Nonresponders and unrelated systems do not become compliance failures.

Linux

Enable Linux Server Assessment is OFF by default. When unchecked, Linux is not routed by Servers/Full and does not appear in Live Audit Status. Legacy string settings such as False, 0, no, off, and disabled normalize to false.

Credentials

Windows audit credentials are loaded for the session, exported as user-bound encrypted CLIXML, validated by the GUI immediately before launch, and validated again by the worker before collector preflight. API keys/password secrets use their vendor-specific encrypted profile/session handoff.

Collector isolation

Network does not inherit Server subnets. Storage does not scan Windows subnets. VMware uses vCenter. Entra uses Graph. Backup uses the configured backup profile. Each run reports only applicable evidence.
