Configuration

Select the backup vendor and supported collection mode, then configure targets, endpoint, username and encrypted secret as required. Veeam can use PowerShell/management tooling and supported API paths; WinRM is a fallback, not the sole success condition.

Evidence

Jobs, protected objects, sessions, warnings/failures, last-success evidence and repository health are collected where the vendor interface exposes them. Unavailable interfaces produce NO_DATA with the limitation recorded.

Cancellation

Backup uses the shared direct worker. Cancel writes the run cancellation marker and the GUI force-stops the actual worker process tree after the cooperative window if required.
