Network & API Guide
Meraki Dashboard
Configure the Network vendor/profile and API endpoint. For API-key mode, ITAuditFactory stores the secret encrypted and sends the Dashboard request using Bearer authorization. The live status stream reports secret availability, authentication start, successful organization enumeration, or the HTTP/API failure without displaying the key.
Timeouts
Network REST/Web requests use a 20-second request timeout so blocked API calls cannot leave the UI indefinitely waiting for collector startup.
Common errors
| Symptom | Action |
|---|---|
| 401 | Replace/re-save the API key; verify it belongs to the expected dashboard account. |
| 403 | Check organization/network permissions. |
| 429 | Rate limited; retry after the vendor interval. |
| DNS/TLS/HTTPS error | Verify proxy/firewall/DNS/TLS inspection and outbound access. |
| NO_SECRET | Save the Network secret again; verify the selected auth mode requires a secret. |
