Installation and upgrades
Choose the right installer and preserve your existing data.
Applies to All editions
Use these workflow instructions with the release notes for your installed package. Numeric application versions and delivery identifiers are separate.
Choose your edition
MSP Server hosts the shared service and database. MSP Client connects to that server. Professional uses bundled local PostgreSQL with the shared client/backend. Free retains its separate local ISO 27001 workflow.
Prepare the installation
Use the version shown on Downloads and review its release notes. Back up application data and configuration before an upgrade. Keep existing installation and recovery information available.
Install the supplied package
For a complete bundle, extract it and keep Prerequisites beside the INSTALL-*.cmd launchers. Run the matching launcher as administrator. A bundle’s -PlanOnly option checks its installation plan without installing. For a standalone MSI or EXE, follow that package’s instructions; do not assume it includes every prerequisite.
Verify after installation
Confirm the application version and correct edition. For MSP, verify the server service, client connection and intended security profile. Open a known client/program, inspect existing evidence and run a scoped assessment/report check before resuming normal use. A successful installer alone does not establish all workflow results.
